Built in 2009, the MICHALE S was the 3rd ASD (Azimuthing Stern Drive) built for Bisso Towboat Co.,Inc., of New Orleans (with her latest addition, the William S, also by Castleman Maritime, her fleet of ASD tugs is now four). With a pair of Caterpillar 3516B diesels driving her Ulstein Aquamaster US205 MK2 Z-drives, she has the power and maneuverability to help ships clawing their way up the
Mississippi to Baton Rouge to easily navigate the twists and currents of the river.
